Green tea cosmetics

If you think of green tea, you immediately picture yourself in one of those moments of relaxation on the sofa, holding a piping hot cup of this natural drink that is highly beneficial for the body, right? But have you ever thought about the benefits of green tea on the skin? We are not referring to the benefits of including this drink as part of your diet, but the benefits you can enjoy by using natural beauty products made from this tea.

You can also use green tea on your face, and the benefits of this are staggering: protect your skin from dehydration, pollution and oxidative stress, thereby slowing down premature aging. At Tea Shop we have developed "Miracle Beauty", our first range of natural cosmetics which feature green tea as the main ingredient.

PROPERTIES OF GREEN TEA FOR THE SKIN

To understand how natural cosmetics can benefit you, and specifically those made with Green Tea like our Miracle Beauty range, we are going to explain the features that directly affect the skin:

Antioxidant: Green tea is rich in substances called polyphenols, which have, among other benefits, antioxidant properties. This means that it has the ability to neutralize toxic substances (free radicals) that destroy skin cells, which is why skin ages.

Astringent: This effect means that green tea frees the skin of impurities, reducing its seborrheic secretion, which promotes tissue cleansing.

Antihistamine: You probably already know that antihistamines are used as a treatment to curb skin allergies or hives. Well, natural green tea also has this effect on the skin.

Anti-inflammatory: Another huge benefit of green tea on the face is that it helps reduce inflammation such as bags under the eyes, the effects of acne, or even stress.

Analgesic: One of the polyphenols that green tea contains also has the ability to reduce feelings of pain, which makes it perfect for delicate acne-prone skin.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

It is clear that all the beneficial properties linked to green tea are linked to its active ingredients. That is to say, the substances that achieve (in this case) the cosmetic properties contained in the tea.

It’s important to start by mentioning that this type of tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis plant, a plant whose bases consist mostly of xanthan and polyphenols.

- Xanthic bases: Such as caffeine, theophylline, theobromine, adenine or xanthine.

They stimulate the central nervous system, which means they combat fatigue and tiredness.

- Polyphenols: Such as flavonoids, catechol, catechuic tannins and phenolic acids. Do not be deterred by so many scientific terms, just know that these substances are beneficial for the skin.

In addition, green tea leaves are rich in catechins, which are flavonoids with an enormous source of antioxidants. Remember that antioxidants help the body fight the premature aging of cells and tissues.

At the same time, it is important to know that green tea is also rich in other components such as vitamins A, C, E and B2, and trace elements such as calcium, magnesium and zinc, which have a massive range of benefits for the skin.

NATURAL COSMETICS BEAUTY REGIME. TAKE NOTE AND TRY IT OUT!

At Tea Shop, we wanted to take advantage of all these properties to create our own line of natural cosmetics called Miracle Beauty.

However, it was not enough for us just to take advantage of the benefits of green tea, we wanted to also incorporate the benefits that other ingredients give us such as Babassu oil (moisturising), hyaluronic acid (plumping) and aloe vera (regenerating and soothing).

The result is a range of natural online cosmetics that you can introduce to your beauty regime and help manage to hydrate and protect your skin (Facial Cream) in the most organic and natural way possible.

Take note of how and when to use our products:

Removing make-up: Why use micellar water instead of other cleansers? Micellar water (such as our Micellar Water) does not attack the skin, does not leave greasy residues, does not dry out and does not alter your skin’s pH. It is ideal for use on sensitive and oily skin.

Fighting acne: You can also use green tea to help stop acne, and we can vouch for this with products like our Multi-protective facial serum that intensively moisturizes and regenerates the skin.

Reducing eye bags: Products containing hyaluronic acid are perfect for recovering lost volume, filling in dark circles (or eye bags) to even out and enhance the area.

Rejuvenating the skin: We also bring you body cream options (Body Cream) among our range of beauty products, which feature antioxidant properties that help preserve the beauty and youth of the skin.

Cracked hands? Give your hands the love they need with our Hand Cream and make them feel more cared for and softer.

On top of all these products, we mustn’t forget our Sanitising Spray: a disinfecting spray with Green Tea extract to clean your hands thoroughly without drying them out.
