Agave syrup, also known as agave nectar or agave honey, is the sweet vegetable juice extracted from the leaves of the agave plant, which looks similar to a cactus or Aloe Vera. It is one of the healthiest and most natural sweeteners, as it has a higher satiating power than sugar, and we can sweeten our drink by adding less quantity than if we use sugar. This dark golden syrup has a viscous texture, a neutral smell, and a slightly more intense flavor than raw agave syrup. Being of plant origin, it is also a perfect vegan substitute for honey.
