Gelatin desserts: a healthy and tasty recipe with Fruit Cocktail herbal tea
Gelatin desserts are tasty and easy ways to enjoy the flavours and vitamins of fruits.
Here is our healthy homemade version using the Fruit Cocktail loose herbal tea.
Among gelatin desserts, this is one of our favourites!
A flavourful blend of pineapple, papaya, orange peel, sultanas, rose hip and hibiscus, Fruit Cocktail (“Cocktail de Frutas”) is also particularly high in vitamins and antioxidants due to its content of hibiscus and rosehip, a great source of Vitamin C.
Besides, Fruit Cocktail is caffeine-free, making this jelly dessert a perfect option for the whole family.
Plain or mixed with your favourite fruits, your gelatin desserts made with our Fruit Cocktail herbal tea will be just irresistible!
GELATIN DESSERTS: “FRUIT COCKTAIL” JELLY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
• 20-30g Fruit Cocktail herbal tea
• 300 ml water
• Gelatin sheets. (The number of sheets per volume of water depends on the brand, as they each have their own specifications. In general, 500 ml of liquid are needed for 6 gelatin sheets.)
• Sugar, honey or Agave Syrup to taste
The Organic Raw Agave Syrup, one of the healthiest and most natural sweeteners, with a low glycemic index, is an excellent option to sweeten this dessert.
Lemon Sugar is another great sweetener for this jelly dessert, perfect to add a tang of citrus to the recipe and enhance the flavour of fresh fruits.
METHOD
1. Pour 500ml hot water (95C) over 30g of Fruit Cocktail and let it steep for 10 min, then filter.
2. Put the gelatin sheets in your Fruit Cocktail mix, and leave to soak until they are moist (time depends on each brand’s specifications).
